Lydia Lee Therapy Services

Virtual OT and Psychotherapy

Welcome!

I provide virtual occupational therapy and psychotherapy services to adults living anywhere in Canada (except BC, SK and QB). I understand how difficult it is to take the first step to reach out for help. I offer a therapy space that is client-centred, non-judgmental and culturally-sensitive.

Services Offered

Psychotherapy

Sessions for individuals to process their thoughts and emotions to improve mental well-being. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and traditional occupational therapy approaches. This means that the sessions can also focus on helping you engaging in activities and relationships that are meaningful to you, by learning and practicing functional coping skills to engage in healthy behaviours.

Typically, sessions are weekly or bi-weekly.

Veterans' Mental Health

I work with Veterans and First responders to address their mental health concerns including (not an exhaustive list): depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD and OSI, substance use, social isolation, traumatic brain injury and decreased motivation.

How can OT help?

ADHD Support

I offer coaching to address the core symptoms of ADHD, (i.e. inattention, impulsivity, hyperactivity), emotional dysregulation and other executive function difficulties.

Interventions are based on cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches, and can help you with the following:

Occupational Therapy Assessment

A comprehensive functional assessment of your physical, emotional, cognitive and/or environmental factors and providing recommendations to improve your engagement in daily activities, work and/or school.  The assessment takes between 90-120 minutes. A written report summarizing the assessment findings and recommendations can be provided.
